Kings Langley Pantomime Interviews #8 Our Audience

In the last of our Pantomime interviews running op to our performances of Aladdin on the 10th-12th January, we thought it would be great to hear from our audience, to find out what they think of our shows and what it is that keeps bringing them back. Trevor Fuller and his family have been KLP supporters for many years now, and Trevor was kind enough to leave us some great feedback on our Facebook page last year, so we thought we would ask him about what they love about KLP Pantos.

What do you enjoy about Pantomimes?
My wife and I value good traditions and what is more traditional than a Christmas panto? Being local is a great advantage.

What brought you to your first Kings Langley Players show?
As a regular user of the Kings Langley Community Centre we see the posters & flyers, and as we have 11 grandchildren we decided a few years back that it will make a great Christmas present for them all.

Have you got a favourite memory from any of our shows?
Ha ha, I think my favourite memory has to be from the very first one we attended. We all sat in the front row (as always) and the Dame picked on me big time. To see my grandchildren laughing so much at his antics made our evening & we often talk about it to this day. One of my Grandchildren (Tilly) was next to me and the tears of laughter were rolling down her face, she said later she hasn’t laughed so much to this day & now she insists on sitting next to me every year. It was so funny.

What makes a Kings Langley Players Panto so special?
This is very easy to answer. Everyone involved with the production makes you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive till the time you leave. It is, in my opinion a polished performance throughout and although amateurs all performers act in a professional and yet light hearted manner.

Will we be seeing you again this year?
Yes you most certainly will and every year from now on, also we often attend other plays staged by the Kings Langley Players. Thank you all for all your hard work and great entertainment.

And a big thanks to Trevor and family for all their support, it’s so lovely when we receive unprompted feedback from the audience like we did from Trevor and his family.

We still have front row tickets available for Thursday and Friday night – and a few for Saturday night, so if you’d like a bit of banter with our Dame then book those tickets NOW!
