SHOW STARTS TONIGHT!
Well that’s it folks, we had our final dress rehearsal last night and the curtain goes up on our first performance in 11 hours time from writing this.
After a sticky start last night and a little too-ing and fro-in around the script we ate, drank and danced our way through Beverley’s little soiree and left a very happy director at the end of the evening.
All we are missing now is an audience to enjoy the absurd situations on stage and hopefully laugh in all the right places. Quite often we have members of the group coming down to dress rehearsals to watch before hand so we get an idea of when the laughs will be, but in this case the usual crew have told us they didn’t want to ruin the spectacle of the performances themselves and so we won’t know where the big laughs are until this evening.
Hopefully we won’t have yesterdays huge fly buzzing round our heads (and the cheesy pineapple) during the performance – very distracting.
